CLIMBING IS FOR ALL AGES

Throughout the summer the Youth Rock Climbing Team will take climbing trips to the local crags on the Shore. Teammates learn rock climbing skills with their peers under the watchful eye of certified instructor. Each trip ventures to a new place along the North Shore with new challenges, lessons and experiences! Teams are split up by age:
Dynos (entering K-3rd grade)

The goal for these youngsters is to get them on the rock! The North Shore offers so many places that are friendly for all ages.

Rock Stars (entering 4th-6th grade)

Upper elementary age is the perfect time to start climbing. We want to get these kids outside and on the rock as much as possible! We will focus on climbing commands and movement techniques.

 Tradsters (entering 7th-9th grade)

Expect to learn something! Middle school students are a great age to begin learning some of the skills that all climbers know. Belaying, rappelling, knot tying, and climbing movement techniques.

Team Sharp End (entering 10th-12th grade)

High school age young adults begin to learn some of the advanced techniques such as gear placements,  anchor building and lead climbing. Learn to place cams and stoppers, how to make climbs safe, and tie advanced knots. Plus all the great benefits of getting in a whole lot of climbing.
